We got a new puppy last week, which is our fifth dog (that’s right, 5). It sounds crazy but really it’s not that bad, since 4 of 5 are under 15 pounds. But number 5 makes up for it, with all of her 190 pounds. So I guess that now’s a good time for a roll call:

• 5 dogs
• 2 parrots (soon to be three)
• 4 aquariums
• 1 bearded dragon

That’s quite a crew, but it’s not half as difficult as it sounds and we really like having them around. Needless to say, it makes for endless photo oportunities, both the pets alone and the pets and kids together. Also, I believe that kids need to grow up around animals to know how to act around them. I see a lot of kids that are afraid of dogs, just because they’ve never lived with one. Obviously, those are not our kids.
